About Our Members Jenkintown Matters, June 4, 2024June 9, 2024 There have been many people wondering about who is behind this effort. As a group, we’ve decided that if members want to reveal their association, they’re free to do so. Some of us would rather not have our names out there on social media to protect our privacy, and because this Borough has a well-documented history of retribution against residents that actively push back against its agenda. Who we are is an open secret. We all live in Jenkintown. You will find us getting signatures at local events and anywhere the community gathers. We post on the JCP. And most importantly, we attend Council meetings and ask questions. Some of us would rather not discuss these issues online, but we’re always happy to do it in person. You won’t really know our members until you meet them. Want to meet us? Council meetings are a good place. We not only go there to comment and listen, but because its a front row seat to the whole process. If you want to know why we are so concerned about the future of Jenkintown, that’s the best place to see why. We know that sitting through a Council meetings is the last thing some people want to do after a long day. We know you’re busy. We all have jobs, families, hobbies, and other obligations. But some of our members have carved out the time to exercise this right, and wish more would do the same. When you watch what goes on there, you’ll understand why we’re doing this. And you might want to join us. Share this:FacebookXLike this:Like Loading... Commentary News
