The DCED Peer Review project—when did it start? Jenkintown Matters, August 6, 2024August 9, 2024 At the April 25, 2024 Borough Council meeting, Chief Scott announced that the DCED would be doing a full cost benefit analysis of the Jenkintown Police Department at no charge. Previously, Chief Scott had stated that he himself would be doing the cost benefit analysis. The Letter of Intent was submitted to the DCED on May 24, 2024. However, documents received from the DCED via a RTK request clearly demonstrate that the Borough was working with the DCED as early as February 2024, and Borough Manager Locke met with DCED representatives on March 8, 2024. What was discussed with the DCED between February and May 24, 2024? Why were these discussions not disclosed by Borough Council?
